History of Spitfire TE308
Delivered to Irish Air Corps as 163 in 1951
Flown in movie Battle Of Britain, 1968
With the help of Jerry Billing Windsor business man Don Plumb purchased TE308 and had it shipped to Toronto in 1970
First flight in North America, Windsor Ont. ( Don Plumb front Jerry Billing rear )

TE308 was later converted to a single seat Spitfire

1975 Don Plumb was killed in a fatal crash in a P51
TE308 was sold to a museum were it was displayed till 1979
TE308 was then sold to Woodson K. Woods ( also owned Spitfire SL721 )
Jerry Billing again displayed TE308 on numerous occasions along with SL721 at Reno air races 1981

TE308 was later converted back to a dual control Spitfire and sold to William S. Greenwood in 1983 were it resides in Aspen CO.
